A cute sewing project!
Hello everyone,
I saw this adorable sewing project over at A Little Loveliness! She did it at a tea party and the girls were able to complete the project themselves. I will have to try this with my daughter!

Question for my readers...
I'm going to be doing a series on dolls, how to purchase them, what to look for, what does quality look like. Also doll clothes and furniture and what kinds of things to look for.
Is there anything specific you need to know as we approach the big gift buying season?
Thanks for your opinions!

There's a new girl.. er DOLL in Town!
Hello everyone!
I’m so pleased to share with you a new 18” doll that’s on the market. Her name is Nicole and Debbie Garrett from Black Doll Collecting, graciously shared her pictures with me!
Nicole is aspires to be a doctor and enjoys cheerleading when she’s not studying!
Oh goodness I just love that face, she reminds me so much of my own daughter! I love her hair too!
Nicole is from the Prodigyrls collection, a series of dolls designed by Dr. Daniela Wiggins, who when shopping for dolls for her girls, was disappointed by what was available. So she took matters into her own hands and designed a line of dolls to reflect the values that many of us try to instill in our little girls. Nicole will arrive to you in a doctor's outfit including lab coat! Too cute! Also available now is Janelle who is a chef that instills a healthy way of cooking.
These “gyrls” are too cute and I cannot wait to add them to my collection! Since I’m on a self-imposed six month doll moratorium, I’ll have to wait! Ha! Stupid moratorium!!
Oh and in case you don’t recognize the outfit, Miss Nicole is wearing our Emily Rose Sunshine Cheerleader outfit! Isn’t she cute! Although these dolls are slimmer in body than the American Girls, they outfits still fit well according to Mrs. Garrett!
I can’t resist! Here is one more picture for the road!
Go ahead girlfriend! Be all that you can be!!
*** I love to share customer photos! So if you have any you would like to share, please email me at maggie965 @ yahoo . com (no spaces) with a brief paragraph about your doll and the outfit. ***
Love and Blessings!

Outfit of the Week 10/19
I'm so happy to share with you this outfit. This is my absolute favorite from all of the Emily Rose Doll clothes! Erica (an 18" Madame Alexander doll from Avon) is pleased to model the Tweed Jacket and Purse Oufit:

Isn't she adorable? Here is a close up of the purse, it's too cute!

She has the cutest shoes on. They are fuschia and are made of faux suede and leather! They can be purchased here.

Monday Outfit of the Week!
Whew! It's so nice to be back and blogging again. I missed it but just didn't seem to have the time and/or patience to do good posts. But we are back now and hopefully we'll stay on schedule!
Now for the outfit of the week. I have to say I fell in love with this dress the minute I saw it. It's a beautiful pink satin gown with a lace overlay. The overlay has such gorgeous flowers embroidered into it! Anyway, they say a picture is worth a thousand words so here is Ginger modeling the embroidered bow dress
Isn't it gorgeous. Ginger looks like she's going to a party or a prom! Here's a close up of the beautiful detail!
And the back view with the gorgeous sash!
I matched this dress up with these adorable pink bow shoes!
I know you will love this dress as much as I do! Oh and it washes really easy, we had an incident with red juice. I washed it in cold water with a touch of dish detergent, rinsed it really well and laid it flat to dry. No sign of the juice!!
Have a blessed day!

Tuesday Around the Doll World - 9/8
Okay I know this is a day late but I'm trying to get back on track!
When you are a doll collector, I think it is important to understand a history of dolls. That is one of the main reasons I joined a local doll club, I wanted to find out more about the types of dolls I collect as well as other historically important facts about dolls in general. That's why I was so excited when I found Elizabeth Almeida. Her in depth articles are so wonderfully written and full of information. Set aside some time and read some of her articles. You won't be disappointed:
NY Doll Collecting Examiner
Another examiner writer highlighted the Pottery Barn 50th Anniversary barbies. They are so cute!

ALL PHOTO RIGHTS BELONG TO POTTERY BARN KIDS AND MATTEL
Check out the article here.
That's all the collecting news I have for this week, I hope you enjoyed!
