Monday Outfit of the Week - Sports Time

Hi all,

Aggie is back with the outfit of the week. This time she has her soccer bag and ball as well. This is a cute fleece outfit that will stand up to rugged play. It fits 18" inch dolls like the American Girl Doll, Madamae Alexander, and also some 21 inch dolls like the Karito Kids. This particular outfit will also fit the American Girl Bitty baby and similar sized dolls.

Does your doll like to exercise rather than play soccer? She will look adorable in this Yoga Outfit that is available at our Emily Rose Store:

Or maybe she's the martial arts kind of girl. She'll be right at home in our Karate Kicks outfit!

Whatever her sport make sure she's dressed in the best!

Mimi's Corner

Hello everyone,

Normally this would be on Friday but we got caught up in the back to school rush! Margaret

I would like to talk about what I did this week. On Monday and Tuesday, my brother babysat me. On Wednesday my uncle babysat me. On Thursday my mom and my brother went shopping with me. We went to Burlington Coat Factory. On Friday morning we went shopping again at Target for a book bag.

I got a new doll and she is a Mia Bella doll/Madame Alexander. She is beautiful. Her name is Peppermint because of her clothes. Also, she could wear the Emily Rose clothes (that rhymes! the Emily Rose clothes part!) I love to dress her and brush her hair.

Sincerely,
Mimi

What should I wear today?

Today me and my children went school shopping in preparation for school starting next week. As we were at the store, my children rejected many items because they weren't the right style or the right name or the right look. As we spent time finding just the right clothing, I wondered to myself, have I made sure that my children have the proper spiritual attire when they go to school? Consider one of my favorite passages in the Bible:

"So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." Matthew 6:28-29

In order to be protected from the evil in this world, our children need to be fully equipped with the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). It is more important to teach our children about the belt of truth rather than one made of cotton which will rot away. We should be teaching about the breastplate of righteousness guarding our chest rather than the name of some designer who we don't even know! It should be the gospel of peace covering our feet not the latest canvas sneakers.

Start with me in teaching your children TODAY about the most important garment of all! I found this article that gives a great explanation of the Armor of God. I plan to use it as a study guide in teaching my children this important truth!

May the blessings of God rain down upon you this week.

Tuesday Around the Doll World 8/25

Hi Everyone,

This is a news filled week so I'm just going to get to it!

First, Debbie Garrett Author of the Definitive Guide to Collecting Black Dolls and Black Dolls: A Comprehensive Guide to Celebrating, Collecting, and Experiencing the Passion was kind enough to share her doll Malia Machui wearing the Emily Rose Denim Jacket and Peasant skirt outfit. This three piece outfit is SO versatile! Malia-Machui is WORKING that outfit!

Walmart has recently started carrying a new line of 18" Madame Alexander dolls. These dolls are adorable and would be a great starter doll for your little girl. Debbie shared a picture of her new little girl Passion:

Isn't she adorable?? As soon as I have more pictures of the dolls in this line, I will share.

Speaking of Madame Alexander Dolls they just released a Nefertiti doll for 2009. I think she's pretty and the costuming is nice. But it seems something is missing, what do you think?

Finally for the Barbie fans! Did you hear that Barbie's dream house just got a bit bigger? Yes it's true! Mattel is building a House of Barbie in Shanghai, China. The idea behind it is similar the the American Girl Places here in the U.S. Here's more on the store including pictures. House of Barbie looks amazing!!:

Monday Item of the Week!

OOOHHH!!! I couldn't wait to share this week's outfit with you. On the East Coast September means back to school. But it also means time for dance class, piano class, soccer and all the other fun fall activities. Lily is so excited about starting dance class she couldn't wait to put her leotard on!!

Her pretty pink leotard is covered with her matching tutu, both are trimmed in a funky printed ribbon. Lily finished it off with the matching ballet slippers! She's truly a Cool Ballerina. Please note that Lily's leggings are not included with this set.

It's ok if you don't like Dance, we have a Champion Skater outfit! Instead of the funky print trim, the leotard comes with a sparkly silver trim. Completing the outfit are the pink scrunchy, ice skate covers, and a sheer skirt:

Of course there are many more outfits to fit your needs at our online Emily Rose Store. Check it out! But before you leave here, don't forget to sign up to be a hostess and you might earn your outfits for Free!

Mimi's Corner

Hi,

All of the days I've been doing Emily Rose at Home have been great, especially dressing the dolls. Also tell a mom, dad, or guardian to check out my mom's story. It's cool. Everybody who is at Emily Rose has been nice to me.

Your daughters can use our clothes to dress American Girl Dolls, Karito Kids, Madame Alexander dolls and dolls the same size as them. You cannot dress My Twinn doll in our clothes because the dolls are too big. We have clothes that fit the Bitty baby and dolls like that at our store that's on the website.

Thank you for reading this message

Your friend,
Mimi

This Week's Inspiration

Hi all,

I want this to be more than another "doll blog." I want it to be a place where you can come and stay a while, share your thoughts and be inspired.

Today I was struggling with what to write for inspiration. This is all new to me so I turned to my favorite source, the Bible. As I was scrolling through the Bible, my eyes fell on this verse:

"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." Proverbs 16:3

These are strong and specific words that Solomon shared, and to me, they are common sense. They make even more sense when you look at the NLT bible: Commit your work to the Lord and then your plans will succeed. If we are looking for success, Godly success, we need to rely on God's guidance. We need to dedicate our work to Him, use it to glorify Him in the way that he leads us.

When me and my daughter joined Emily Rose, I knew that God had brought us to this place for a reason. I don't know everything he has planned for us, but I know He has a plan. I pray that as we begin this journey, that He will reveal His will to us so that we can honor Him.

So I ask you the question today, have you committed your work to the Lord? Have you discovered his plan for your life? If not, what are you waiting for?>

My Day at Deep Cut Gardens

Hi People,

My name is Aggie and I'm a Madame Alexander doll. I want to tell you a story about how my mom took me to a place called Deep Cut Gardens. It's one of her favorite places to go and now it's my favorite place too! I'm going to show you some pictures of our trip, oh and I'm wearing my special soccer outfit that I got from Emily Rose, (p.s I got my sneakers from the place where I was born). My mommy said I could wear it but I couldn't bring my ball and bag or it might get lost!:

First my mommy took some pictures of me by the flowers. Here I am by the pink flowers:

The white ones:

And the purple ones (these are the prettiest):

story 3_resize

It was so much fun playing in the flowers. Next mommy let me climb the fence so I could touch the leaves. Don't worry I was very careful and mommy was right behind me:

story 5_resize

But one thing was scary, saw the BIG man working in the garden!!! He just stared at me!

story 4_resize

But then he smiled and I wasn't afraid anymore!

Finally we went to the pond and saw some really BIG fish!

story 6_resize story 7_resize

I took a nap there too, I was sooo tired!

And that's the end of my story, oh I almost forgot, this is the prettiest butterfly that we saw it's called the Anise Swallowtail (I had to look it up in mommy's butterfly book):

It has a mini book about Molly too. It all comes tied up with a ribbon it's so cute!! I forgot to take a picture so I will add that later.
